The Beginning
Our brokerage began with two guys working high‑level positions in the banking world, spending more time in boardrooms than actually helping the people who trusted them. Meeting after meeting, we kept asking the same questions: What about the clients we already have? How do we keep them? Why are we always talking instead of doing? It felt like the system cared more about chasing new customers than serving the ones right in front of us. We knew we could do better. With years of banking experience behind us and a shared vision for real client‑focused service, we stepped into mortgage brokering. We wanted to break the idea that “banking is too complicated for the average person.” By educating clients about mortgages and finance, we believed they could make stronger, smarter decisions. That philosophy became our foundation — and a few years later, it became the brokerage we proudly opened.
After opening the brokerage, the years that followed strengthened our commitment to doing things differently. We became even more focused on removing the mystery surrounding mortgages—especially the confusion around credit bureaus. Rather than accept the status quo, we dug deeper, worked to truly understand how everything functioned, and made the decision to share that knowledge openly. That’s how the 8 Rules of Credit were created. While not everyone supported that decision at first—some believed we were giving away “trade secrets”—we’ve always believed that doing what’s right for clients matters more than keeping information behind closed doors. We continued to build on that philosophy through Understanding Your Mortgage, a series of short radio segments where, for two years, we shared insights, real-life experiences, and practical ways to improve financial health. These lessons were shaped by our work with clients who had often been told “no” time and time again. By showing people how to properly build and maintain strong credit, we were able to help them achieve homeownership sooner than they had ever expected. As our impact grew, so did our reach. What started as a single office expanded into two locations—our main office and a second office in Calgary. Despite that growth, our foundation has never changed: a commitment to education, transparency, and genuinely putting our clients first.

Centum Professional Mortgage Group evolved into CPMG Mortgages, a bold step forward built on decades of dedication and thousands of successfully funded mortgages. Even with a new name, our philosophy has never changed: put clients first, take care of them, and they will take care of us. For 28 years, we’ve stayed true to that belief. We’ve educated families, funded mortgages, earned trust, and built relationships that have lasted generations. Most importantly, we’ve been blessed with loyal clients who continue to share their experiences and speak proudly about our work. Today, our team — Cara, Vittorio, Marty, Kim, Clarke, Daniel, and David — stands ready for whatever comes next.
